ECSB - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS (PDWS) 2020

Call for proposals for
Virtual Professional Development Workshops (PDWs)

Period: October 2020 – March 2021

Professional Development Workshops (PDWs) are workshops to share knowledge and expertise and foster practical, professional and intellectual skills of participants. PDWs need to have a clear theme and target group as well as deliver a high level of learning and give the participants some clear ‘take-aways’.

The format of a PDW should be dialogical and interactive, so no presentation of papers will be possible in these sessions. Proposers choose the session format. Quite apart from the professional development side, these PDWs should also promote networking among members who may not meet otherwise.

Any topic will be considered. The Scientific Committee will screen proposals and choose those we believe have the broadest appeal for ECSB members. There is not a set structure for the proposals but please provide information about the organizers of the PDW, the importance of the workshop theme, the format you will use, the target audience and the takeaways from the workshop for participants.

The Virtual PDWs will have a set timeframe of 2 hours and will be scheduled in the period October 2020 – March 2021. ECSB will organize the zoom meetings and will give technical support on the chairs of the PDWs.

Participation in PDWs is free for ECSB members. To become a member or to renew your expired membership, please go to https://ecsb.org/shop/. For more information about the benefits of your membership, please go to https://ecsb.org/membership-benefits/.

Participation in the Virtual RENT Conference is highly advised, but not compulsory. For further information on the Virtual RENT Conference 18 - 20 November 2020, please see www.rent-research.org.
